Update on last review

I have now upgraded my old PC and am using the device on both my laptop (USB) and desktop (eSATA). The eSATA port works really well and the speed difference between the USB and eSATA is really noticeable. Although it comes with separate USB power lead I have never had to use it both a standard USB port and eSATA port can power the device on their own.

Great device

I bought this to replace my existing 500GB USB drive that I use to carry my work files around with. I was concerned that I had a lot of personal info on the device that I did not want to fall into the wrong hands should Iloose or have the drive stolen. The Aegis is every bit as fast as my old drive and was a doddle to set up and use. The fact that it also has an esata port is a real bonus (although until I upgrade my PC I cannot make use of it.) It is expensive but it is also secure and easy to use and there is nothing else out there to compare with it. recommended.
